David J Ortinau

Deputy Director (2022-2024)


David J. Ortinau, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus of Marketing at the University of South Florida. David is a co-author of several marketing research textbooks and his scholarly contributions have appeared in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science (JAMS), Journal of Business Research (JBR) and Journal of Advertising Research, among others. He also serves on the editorial boards of JAMS, JBR, Journal of Global Scholars of Marketing Science, and Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice.

David’s leadership and professional experience are recognized and well respected within the marketing discipline. He received the 2016 Harold Berkman Distinguished AMS Service Award and has been an active AMS fellow and conference participant since the early 1980s. David has served as an AMS Annual Conference Co-Chair, reviewer/judge of several Mary Kay Dissertation Proposal competitions, and as an active AMS Board of Governors member. David remains active with AMS Doctoral Colloquium, AMS Wine Seminars, Meet the Journal Editorial Reviewers, and special sessions on research methods, as well as writing and publishing journal articles.
