Janna Parker

Director of Domestic Programs


Janna Parker, DBA, is an Associate Professor of Marketing at James Madison University. Her research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Business Research, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Journal of Business Ethics and Journal of Consumer Marketing. She also co-authored Social Media Marketing: A Strategic Approach (3rd edition) and is on the editorial review boards of the Journal of Business Research and Journal of Marketing Education.

Janna has been a member of AMS since 2011. She started her service as a conference reviewer, session chair and track chair. She served 3 years as the Director of Social Media, 2 years as the Vice President for Development and 2 years as the Vice President of Engagement. During her time on the Executive Council, she started the Teaching Workshop Certificate Program, launched the AMS Webinar Series and co-developed the online Teaching Fundamentals of Marketing series. In 2021, she was presented The Harold and Muriel Berkman Award for Faculty Achievement and Development for her service to AMS as a junior faculty member.
